Good question! I’ve found playing idle machines helps. But how long idle? A minute? Or ten minutes? Or thirty minutes? The longer the better. For example, I cycle through most machines in a high-limit room after I learn out on the main floor that that casino has tastes.

And I cycle through them again thirty minutes later. But some slots enthusiasts are at very busy casinos or don’t want to or can’t move to other machines. So take your card and bankroll out of the machine, wait a minute, then do it again.
